Would you be using Online 5.x by any chance? In that case check to see
if it is only the 101-th record that you cant update. In that case,
this may be the "adjacent key locking" bug.
It could also be your lock mode. If you have lock mode set to page, it
will lock the entire page when you try to update. It may be that the
first 99 records are in one page and the 100-th record may be
beginning a new page. Try changing your lock mode to row. Use the
following SQL:
ALTER TABLE tabname LOCK MODE (ROW);
