How to undo a cooked file system on solaris 2.5.1

Hi listers, I'm a System Administrator for a financial institution and I am reinstaliing informix IDS 7.30.UC3 and I want to use some filesystems or slices that were previously used as "cooked" devices as "raw" devices now. I was told that I need to delete or undo the filesystems created on those slices. I'm not aware of a unix command to do that. What are the issues here? Thanks in advance for your help! Denmark W. 1) dbexport
2) onmode -ky
3) umount /mount_point
4) remove the mount informix from /etc/vfstab.
5) Use format command to repartition that slice ( if you don use logical volume
manager...
I think you should get some help from Sun Administrator to do Number '4)'...
Wish this helps you...

You must edit a file named /etc/vfstab and type a "#" at the begining of the line where you look the filesystem. After this, execute "umountall" and "mountall". The filesystem is no longer mounted and you can use it like a raw device. Good luck.
