What's the problem? I do that all the time, no trouble as long as the OL engine has I-Star (networking module) installed. Otherwise you can use a schema like my dbcopy utility and run it locally on the OL5 machine using shared memory to connect there and a separate network connection to the IDS machine. Are you having a problem doing this? Are the logging modes of the two databases compatible? If not dbcopy's separate connection scheme will still work. Art S.
