HyperScript, ODBC : HELP

Hello, we are to select a DBMS for a project. Final product will run in PC clients under Windows. It is important for us to provide windows objects as the user interface like (combo boxes, spins, multiple selectable list boxes, checkboxes, etc..). We have contacted Informix local dealer and they proposed us to use Informix's HyperScript tool as the development environment. What we want to learn : __ Will it fit to our requirement?.. __ Is Hyperscript the only tool that Informix provides for developments in windows other than the ODBC ?.. __ What's its performance (development/run time) __ Doug Mason from Informix says that the ODBC standard is being re-written to accomodate the speed and functionality that users are demanding. Is there a time schedule for the new ODBC commercial release?.. __ What would be the performance penalty over hyperscript if we use something like visual C/C++, Access or FoxPro through ODBC?. is there a performance comparison over the two choises?. ------------ TIA.
