fourj's in gui mode allows you to have local edit, which will reduce network traffic. also the latest version of the windows client (wtk) 2.0.1b loads a lot faster over slow network connections. you could look at a product called tarantella from sco unix (www.sco.com) which is a web based ASP, and again helps reduce network traffic.
