Holy Champagne cork Batman! Yes you have a bottleneck. Your bufwaits ratio is over 600% and anything between 7 and 10% is slow - values over 10% are death! Bufwaits indicate a process that needs to write into a buffer has had to wait. The wait MAY be caused by too few buffers (often you will see FGWrites in onstat -F in this case and a very high buffer turnover rate) or too few LRU queues which is more likely. Post the following and we'll try to help: contents of ONCONFIG file, time since last onstat -z if after startup onstat -p, again onstat -P |tail -8 onstat -g iov onstat -g glo onstat -g seg onstat -d onstat -F|head -7 onstat -R onstat -D onstat -g ioq include at least one headline from the onstat output.
