The tech support database only has your side of the story and not mine. Of course it takes the informix side thats who made the entries. If I had a database it would have very different enteries. As it is all I can say is that I am a customer who is very unhappy with paying for tech support (that I am forced to do by Informix) to only be told that "Its a bug and we don't know when it will be fixed". NOTE : I DO NOT BLAME TECH SUPPORT! >As David noted Tech Support can only help influence the dirrection a product >goes. If this was not your expectation of what a Tech Support group does >maybe you should talk to your sales person and stop slamming the people for >not meeting your self-set requiremnets. > > I have talked to different people in INFORMIX over the years about this and have been told thats just the way it is. That to get the updates I must pay for maintance. Now I don't/can't speak for others but to pay $2000-$10000 a year for maintance and to allways be told to wait for the next version is not good enought. +++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++ Greg Hogg +++ +++ ++ ++ HOGG'S SOFTWARE +++ +++ +++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++ voice : 410-538-7241 ++++ ++++ ++++ ++++ fax : 410-538-6130 ++++ +++++ +++++ ++++ uucp : uunet!halexii!greg ++++ ++++++ ++++++ ++++ cis : 74176,1320 -- +++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++ Greg Hogg +++ +++
