D4GL w/X11 client

Trying to get D4GL going with an X11 client. D4GL V3.0 under AIX4.3.2 on an RS6000. I can get other X apps on the RS6000 to display on my Redhat linux 6.2, kernel 2.2.14-5.0, glibc 2.1.3 system, and to display on my Sun SPARCstation IPC. Got the "wish" window to disply OK. Wish Version 3.6 release 4js 4.1d (compiled: Feb 5 1999 15:25:13) Our D4GL programs work OK in GUI mode on PC's using the Windows WTK client. The fglX11d daemon starts successfully, but nothing appears when I run our 4GL programs, or the example program ex1.1.42r, when FGLGUI=1. The Fine Manual lists that the usual problem causing this is that the default font from the program does not exist in the database. I've run "fglfontsel" in ASCII (FGLGUI=0), but selecting other fonts and restarting the daemon doesn't help. Even fglfontsel hangs when run with FGLGUI=1.
