John
Check your TERMCAP setting. Probably iris-ansi does not exist in
$INFORMIXDIR/etc/termcap, but may exist in /etc/termcap in your case.
Also you could try changing TERM to ansi.

Subject: SGI: iris-ansi TERM unknown to dbaccess
Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to alter the TERM-environment-variable on an
SGI IRIX 6.5 machine to a terminaltype known to Informix.
I get the message:
$ dbaccessThe type of your terminal is unknown to the system
$ echo $TERM
iris-ansi
