I'm also attempting to import from Informix to SQL7 and haven't had any problems with date fields of type DATETIME or DATE, but am having problems with date fields of type INTERVAL - where the column represents the difference between 2 datetimes. Check to see what data type SQL Server maps to your column (in my case it is 'image') and possibly write a conversion script to transform it into a recognizable data type. I've tried to simply convert to string with VBScript, but that hasn't proven to be successful yet. * Sent from RemarQ http://www.remarq.com The Internet's Discussion Network * The fastest and easiest way to search and participate in Usenet - Free!
My column definitions have come across correctly, so that's not my issue. Thanks for the tip though. I might have Informix dump to a text file and then pull in through SQL. I know I can make that work but it is an extra step.
