<DEL> works one times as break

Hello there, my problem that: my application should be capable to be beark at any time and any place within any process which belongs into the application. the point here <DEL> works just one times at a certain process and if i need it for the 2nd time it will not works. if i break the application and start it again it will work also for one time. what i tested till now: - i installed my application on another Server it works well. therefore my problem is not on the application itself. - i take the termcap from the server to another to test it leads to the problem still the same. - i used many types of TERM for example: VT100, xterm, ansi and the problem still the same. - i tried many Client Terminal for example: PuTTy, Clients SSH, Telnet from Run. here is my environments: TERM=ansi TERMCAP=/opt/informix/etc/termcap DB=informix 9.32 application is 4GL Muthana muthana@gmx.de

At first glance this looks like a DEFER INTERUPT issue in your application. It would appear that perhaps the first interupt is succesfull and is detected correctly but it is not then correctly reseting int_flag. You have indicated that this is unlikely to be the problem as it works correctly on another machine. Was this the exact same version of 4GL ? Was it the same revision of your app? Has the problem always happened or has it only started to happen recently? Or is this some new application code been rolled out recently or a new version of 4GL? Or is it a new machine? Is your stty set corrctly or being reset somewhere so the interrupt key is changing from DEL to something else eg <ctrl-c>? Informix doesn't have a 9.32 engine. You haven't said which version of 4GL you are using. I am guessing from the 9.32 that you actuall have a version 9 engine (9.30 or 9.40) and 4GL 7.32. Have you contacted your support provider?
