Hide a column

Hi, i am trying the LBAC, and now i've got a problem, i have defined a new column to use the LBAC and now, when my app make a "selec *" the IDSSECURITYLABEL column is shown more or less like that name age label name1 age1 000001 name2 age2 000001 .................. I don't want the label column in the results. I can't modify the source of the app, so...is there anyway with informix to hide that column? Regards.
