Re: ESQL/C and ANSI-C Compiler

--- I think it's not a good idea to mix ESQL with ANSI-C or C++ . If you solve some problems now, you will have other problems later. This is how I've done my database access with C++: - Created a generic esql function which can call virtually any SQL statement and pass data to and from using sqlda structure. I compiled that only ESQL file by "esql" command using regular non-ANSI "cc" compiler. - Created object-oriented C++ library to access the INFORMIX database. To use esql function in C++ I used 'extern "C"' statement (I use different C++ compiler but I am sure your compiler also has that feature). So, now I can forget about crazy esql and enjoy object-oriented development with C++.
