First off, though you don't mention it, you are also using I4GL, and the error message number is -4518, and it comes from I4GL and not from SE. Secondly, it is a very nasty problem, caused by bug B01857 in I4GL. There is a workaround -- but it involves a lot of careful recoding of dubious constructs in I4GL programs. Trying to fix the problem is also very stressful on hair; it tends to go grey overnight, what little hasn't been pulled out:-( By far the best way of fixing this is to get hold of the 4.12 release of I4GL -- the bug was fixed completely and the 4.12 product never generates the dreaded -4518 message. It also removes the need for error -4517 too, but that was a largely coincidental side-effect. B01857 was also fixed in version 6.00 of I4GL.
