Closing Xterminal Processes

We are getting ready to make the switch from a 3B2 platform to an HP9000. At the present time, our in-house users access the system using dumb terminals connected to RS232 ports. They are then locked into an Informix 4ge menu program. When we switch to the HP, they will access it via Xterminals over a LAN. This will give them a badly needed capability to perform several processes simultaneously. One problem we have noticed during testing is that when our users open multiple windows, they have a disturbing tendency to occasionally kill the parent window like they are accustomed to doing on PCs. Training will alleviate the problem for all except the proverbial 10 percent. We are not that familiar with X terminals. What is this going to do to Informix processes which they may be running in the child windows they have created? Is there a good trap command which will gracefully stop any Informix processes running in the other windows? Even better, is there a way to prevent them from killing the parent until they have exited from the child windows in the prescribed order? Also, when they start moving windows around on the terminal, is there a way to label each window as to the order it was opened?
