Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

We are working on I-Online 5.02 with Informix Star, 2 Online instances
are installed. Local loopback from one engine to the other works fine,
all entries in /etc/services and $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts are correct
(I hope :-)). 2 sqlexecd are running for 2 services: sqlsoc (port 1525)
and sqltli (port 1526): sqlexecd sqlsoc -l /tmp/sqlsoc.log sqlexecd -l
/tmp/sqltli.log. I can telnet to these 2 ports from other machines
without problems. netstat -na show correct and established connections.
Now to the problem:
When connecting from WIN95 or NT client via I-CLI, the connect fails
with "25506 The sqlexecd daemon cannot accept a connection on the
socket.: No such file or directory". The client configuration seems to
be okay.
Can anybody help ????
Thanks
Rolf
