I think the problem is that there is not a complete I4GL runtime licence on the machine, or that there was an install-order problem. I'm not certain of this, but that error message usually means that there's something up with the message files, such as the itoxmsg.pam file is missing. LD_LIBRARY_PATH is not relevant on HP-UX (AFAIK); I believe the correct variable is SHLIB_PATH.
