Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Phillipe,
In the winnt\\system32\\drivers\\etc directory add an entry in you
hosts.equiv file for the remote machine ie: fifo. Also you will need
the other machine specified in the sqlhosts part of your registry.

David Ashby

Subject: User not trusted by the server. Need Help.

Hi all,
Could someone help me to fix this problem.
I have 1 Server NT 4.0 running Informix OLWS ( Server Name :
Summittech, Informix : ol_summittech)
and 1 NT Workstation 4.0 running OLWS too ( Server Name : Fifo,
Informix : ol_fifo ).
I am connected to the "dbname1@ol_fifo" database with the login informix
(the same login exists on the second server with the same password).
From the SQL Editor, I try to run a SQL statement where I want to access
the data from the other server.
select * from dbname2@ol_summittech:tabname
I have the error message : SQL Error -956 : Client host or user
(informix@fifo) is not trusted by the server.
I do not know how to fix that.
Thank you for your help.
