Hi Family again.
Here is a follow-up to the following problem:
|I recently configured a system for a client and now they can't bring
|their IDS system up for squat. Below is the complete online.log
|session as I make an attempt to get it going.

|
|BTW, there is PLENTY of disk space - I know, I configured it myself.
|
|Any clue as to what stupid situation I should be looking for?
I got helpful responses from Joanne, Niel, and Davek, all making
reference to the network files.
Wellll... I found it. I had mimicked my work at another site, wherein I
added a stream pipe. The problematic site, however, was a 7.13 release
of the engine, not a 7.2x release. Hence, the presence of a network
type of onipcstr in sqlhosts was making the engine barf on the way up.
After I removed this server name from sqlhosts and $ONCONFIG files, the
server came up without a hitch.
Thanks all. I knew I was overlooking something stupid!
