load-insert with no rollback ?

HI, Folks
IDS12.10 FC4
I was loading big amount of data to a table,
begin work;
lock table hist201511_lin_source in exclusive mode;
load from hist_lin_source.data
insert into hist201511_lin_source ;commit work;
later, it was running of dbspace , and session was terminated by IDS,
22:05:57 Warning: The storage pool is out of space. To enable automatic
chunk
creation use the OpenAdmin Tool to add space to the pool.
22:05:57 WARNING: DBspace dwdata04 is full
22:08:26 Checkpoint Completed: duration was 5 seconds.
I was thinking all the so far loaded data would be rolled back (purged),
but to my surprise, the partial data loaded before running of dbspace , is
still in the table ( NO transaction rollback, even the session was
terminated by IDS).
Any comments?
Thanks
Frank

When the engine interrupted the INSERT statement dbaccess executed the next
line which was the COMMIT WORK.
