hi, >I'm looking for a unix utility to read EBCDIC data from a 9 track tape. We do this stuff frequently with 'dd', on many unix versions dd has a conv flag that converts to asci, however simple dd with proabably a smattering of the 'mt' command should allow a reasonable set of tape manipulation.
