ldap / informix ?

Hello, Is there a package that uses Informix as database server as "backend" for use in a simple address-book application. I'd like to store email addresses and names in Informix. It's only a few hundred addresses, that I'd like to store in Informix SE, which should be ok for my modest goals... Then I'd like to access that "directory" from within the "address book" feature of Netscape and other LDAP user agents. So I'd like to use LDAP to connect somehow to that database. Openldap has a server (slapd) that sits on top of Berkeley DBM but I wonder whether something similar (or better) exists for Informix. Thank you, David.
Hi David, Have a look at the Netscape Directory Server from the iPlanet folks. I haven't done this myself but you can write custom plugins for the directory server - I am not 100% sure this is what you are looking for as I get the impression this is really designed to replace the entire datastore that comes wtih their LDAP server, but it might be a good start. http://developer.netscape.com/docs/manuals/directory/plugin/index.htm HTH ben.
