two tape drives and onbar/ontape

if i run onbar without setting up the legato environment variables, does it use the tapedrive device in the onconfig file? i am using onbar for logical logs which is processed from either a cron job or from the alarmprogram ( log_full.sh) , and that process has the environment settings for legato to use the tape drive on its client machine - stacker or juke... but sometimes i might want to use onbar and have it go to a different tape drive, the local drive hanging directly off our server ... as in during the day the legato is very busy backing up other things ( oracle, unix etc...). i know i can use ontape and get the our local machine's tape drive, but since it is incompatible with onbar, i want to know if i can still use onbar and use the local tape... anybody using a two tape system like this ...? thanks, ed
