DBA work is massively different, and we had exceptional fun once porting a Delphi app from one version of Oracle to another. It turned out to be quicker for us to port it to Informix!! One big change is that you *need* a full-time, skilled DBA. Informix is good enough and simple enough that it can muddle along nicely in a development environment, Oracle isn't nearly as forgiving. There are also differences between SQLs and Oracle's PL/SQL is very different from SPL. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
