Hi all, does anybody know whether an IDS Level-0 Archive, taken from IDS 10 FC 8 under solaris 9 / 64 bit /sparc, can be restored on a IDS 10 FC 8 solaris 10 / 64 bit / x86 ? Or in a short form: Is sparc/64bit "IDS-compatible" to x86/64bit? Thanks in advance for any answer! Grettings Markus

I think that it will almost certainly NOT work.
No, not binary compatible at all. The x86 platform is little-endian integers and floats while Sparc is big-endian. Art Art S.
