Re: LOG_BACKUP_MODE
Posted in 2006
I did a search for LOG_BACKUP_MODE in the $INFORMIXDIR/etc directory. I found it in the bldutil.sh script that runs when the database is initalized. It looks like that parameter is only used for XPS.
In alarmprogram.sh you should also have a variable called BACKUP_CMD. You should put whatever backup command you are using in that place.
I don't know about netbackup. we use tivoli storage manager, so I put the onbar command in the BACUKP_CMD variable.

Can someone please tell me what setting I should use for this parameter as I
can't find much information on it. Do I need to do anything at all if I have
BACKUPLOGS=Y in alarmprogram.sh
I am using 9.40.FC8 with Netbackup,
Regards
Colin
