Hello list! I know that its not informix specific problem but I ask thi question too. After editing an form or a report I lose my cursor-keys. When I reset the emulation to vt220-7 I can work with informix until I leave vi after next edit. In .profile I start with vt220 (My terminal emulation use vt220-7). Then I change to vt100 before I start isql. My server is a HP-UX 10.20 system with an IDS 7.30-UC8. I use Termcap on this server. Any ideas?? Thanx in advance. Best regards. Sounds like you are using the cursor pad in application mode and vi is setting it back to terminal mode. The VT100 definition has two different keypad modes which each generate different key codes. I would fix the TERMCAP entry to run the keypad in terminal mode all the time. Art S.
