Does anyone knows how to suspend the logical log restore in On-Bar? I am able to find a way to do this with On-archive but do not know how to do this in On-Bar. Any helps are highly appreciated. I am currently using 7.30 UC6 on HPUX 10.20. Thanks. Alfred
If you use "onbar -r", it include three action below:
''''''' 1. onbar -l -s'''' salvage logical log.
''''''' 2. onbar -r -p'''' phsical restore
''''''' 3. onbar -r -l''''' logical restore(roll forward & roll back).
You can use the seperate command for find control.
After "onbar -r -p". INformix server stand by in "fast recovery" mode. You
can then issue "onbar -r -l" to do logical restore, or use command " onmode
-m" to bring online to online mode.
Also onbar -r -l have two options:
''''''' -n xxx''' the last logical log to restore, and then change mode to
online.
''''''' -t <time> to retore to the time which <time> specified.
