But please note that you seem to have ignored the instructions on how to report a bug in the README file. I suspect the problem is actually in the ESQL/C itself; the netstub library not being present in the command line and not on disk probably means that it was looking for /usr/lib/libnsl.a or /usr/lib/libnsl.so and didn't find either and assumed you had no network support. Try simply creating an empty file /usr/lib/libnsl.a if you don't have one already. Also note the information in the Announce file for the 0.97001 and all the 0.96* or 0.97* releases -- they are experimental versions testing what CPAN/PAUSE will do for me. Version 0.95 is the stable version. That said, what you're running into is unlikely to be caused by the version changes -- most unlikely. Also, 9.14 is no longer the current version of ESQL/C by a fairly large number of revisions (9.15, 9.16, 9.20, 9.21, 9.30). It might be time to look at upgrades. That said, it should still link, but I haven't run into this particular problem before, so iot doesn't yet contain a workaround.
