This is a general truism that all users of Informix products (or nearly any unix product for that matter) should bear in mind: NEVER ASSUME A PRODUCT SUPPLIED FOR ONE VERSION OF AN O/S WILL RUN ON A DIFFERENT VERSION OF THAT O/S. Sorry for shouting. A given Informix product is ported to a particular o/s version, and will depend on library functions, etc that are part of that o/s version. When a new version of the o/s comes out, things like library functions may be changed. If so, it is necessary for a new port of the Informix product to be made. In other cases, the new o/s version does not contain any changes that will affect applications compiled under the previous o/s version. Before upgrading your o/s, check with the vendors of ALL software on your system to see if the version of their software you have will run under the new version of the o/s. In your particular situation, there does not seem to be a port of any of our products on the 3450 to 02.02.00 (check with your local sales rep for confirmation).
