However, I found this to be a very discouraging experence. A few of my suggestions got lost somewhere along the way. Other were decided against, but I was never informed. When I did hear the reasons for the negitive decision, I thought they were a little weak. It seemed like they didn't really understand my suggestions. My complaints are that: 1) As far as I can tell, there is no appeal process. 2) The user community in general is not consulted about their interest in new features. The end result is that I was pretty much discourged from submitting feature requests. Still, I should try and put this into a positive light. Informix execs made a big deal at the IWUC about wanting to be the source of all database tool. Maybe it is a good time to try again. Speak up netword.
