2 errors in IDS installation

I just installed IDS 12.10.FC8DE (Developer Edition). I picked the standard installation. I installed in the same directory where I had untarred the .tar file. I got a total of 2 errors: Reported in IBM_Informix_Software_Bundle_Install_01_10_2017_18_28_34.log: Install Merge Module: $BUILD_SOURCE$/module/OpenAdmin.iam.zip Status: ERROR Reported in OpenAdmin_Install_01_10_2017_18_29_16.log: Custom Action: com.ibm.oat.install.CheckInstallStatus Status: ERROR Additional Notes: ERROR - class com.ibm.oat.install.CheckInstallStatus NonfatalInstallException The A pache web server failed to install or to start. /var/opt/ifmx/12.10.FC8DE/OAT/Apache_2.4.2/bin/httpd: error while loading shared libraries: libpcre.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Now that second item I get: I had not installed Apache yet. I have installed Apache and it is now running: Three instances of: "/usr/sbin/apache2 -k start" So I now have two questions: 1. Now that I have Apache running, what should I do to repeat that step and get it right? It is not clear what command it ran that generated the error. 2. On that first error, similarly: What command received that error? And what does that error mean anyway? So what can I do to correct *this* one as well? It looks like the worst result of these errors is that OAT won't work. I can live with this for a while but eventually, if only to keep in practice, I want it working. Ideas? Thanks. -- Jacob S.
On 64bit Red Hat 7.3 I had to do the following: cd /usr/lib64 ln s libpcre.so.1 libpcre.so.0 ln s libexpat.so.1 libexpat.so.0 ln s libssl.so.10 libssl.so.6 ln s libcrypto.so.10 libcrypto.so.6 Then I was able to start OAT using the scripts found in the $INFORMIXDIR/OAT directory.
Hi, Jacob. Juat check if you have a newer version of libpcre.so, and make a symbolic link to libpcre.so.0 on a shared library folder. Aftwr that you can reinstall everything, or just the KAT through custom install. Hope it helps. Best regards.
