There is an immediate opportunity to take a senior software engineering leadership role in the Siver Spring, MD Office of GIS/Trans, Ltd., the world's top firm for Geographic Information Systems for Transportation (GIS-T) and Integrated Transportation Information Systems (ITIS). The Senior Engineer will lead the development of advanced client server GIS-T and ITIS computer sytems for transportation clients. QUALIFICATIONS: Requires BS in Computer Science or related field, MS preferred; 4+ years software engineering experience; successful leadership of projects; expertise in SW database development and maintenance, database design, and system analysis. Must be skilled in Windows NT, a major RDBMS such as Informix, software configuration and new releases, and documentation. GIS, transportation knowledge, PowerBuilder, and/or other RAD tool experience are strong plusses. Salary and benefits 55-80K, depending on experience.
