RE: Database Job Survey

my only comment is that from past experience, the so called jobs on offer are just a method that agencies use to get more CV's onto their databases. I don't know what it is that you are trying to achieve but looking at job sites I'm sure is not going to be an accurate picture of what is going on. I would have thought that a general rule of thumb would be: Do not trust anything that job agencies say/do. And since these daily job listings consist primarily of entries by agencies then clearly these sites are not to be trusted either. That doesn't just apply to the process of looking for a job but also when there is in fact a real job, then the agencies will say/do anything to fill the vacancy. They are not the most objective/honourable people about. Most of them have relatives working for Estate Agencies. (Same principle, just different people getting screwed) Regards Rekaish > -----Original Message----- > From: John Jensen [SMTP:jjens@primenet.com] > Sent: Tuesday, July 20, 1999 2:34 PM > To: informix-list@iiug.org > Subject: Database Job Survey > > I've set up a search engine to crunch the daily job listings from > misc.jobs.offered and misc.jobs.contract.
