Folks, IDS 11.50 FC8 Assume we have two tables. tab1( aa integer,.....) , aa is the primary key; tab2( bb integer...), bb is a foreign key, which reference column aa of tab1. When I do, ALTER table tab1 modify aa int8, both primary key constraint of tab1, and foreign key constraint of tab2 are dropped. Is it possible to preserver the constraints in this particular case? In 11.70.FC7 and above, this is an in-place alter and I think the foreign key relationship will be preserved.
