Setting up a JDBC Connection pool - problems

I am setting up a JDBC Connection Pool to an Informix IDS 9.12 under Linux using the JdbcConnectionPool from Promatter (http://protomatter.sourceforge.net/1.1.1/index.html) I have set up the JdbcConnectionPool to pool connections to an Informix IDS 9.12 database under Linux and have given properties as described in the sample given, which doesn't seem too bad. The ConnectionPool starts to initialize until I get a: java.sql.SQLException: Read only mode not supported ... at com.informix.jdbc.IfxSqliConnect.IsReadOnly(IfxSqliConnect.java:1413) at com.protomatter.jdbc.pool.JdbcConnectionPoolConnection.init(JdbcConnectionPoolConnection.java:136) I haven't tried to set any property relating to read/write permissions. I am trying to find out what the jdbc property name and value for the Informix JDBC driver which would be for this. No luck.
