Star Office has a rather nice report writer that works with the Informix ODBC drivers on both Linux (and I assume other Unices) and Win32. For Win32 only Crystal Reports is very nice (albiet rather large), and for Web stuff PHP can be used to create very nice reports in a simple to learn language.
