I asked this question yesterday, but I was having problems receiving email
for a while, so I don't know if anyone answered. I ran dbcockpit the other
day and it worked fine. Now I start onprobe and sometimes it looks like
it's working until I try to start oncockpit. Then oncockpit gives me "
-55351: Connection with OnProbe lost. Please clean up and exit." Or,other times I'll try to start onprobe and get the following:
13:51:12 SYSTEM STARTUP-FATAL LS_server_init: errno=226: Address already in
use, -55252: bind( ) using service 'cockpit' failed.
13:51:12 COCKPIT STARTUP-FATAL main_loop: -55412: Could not initialize
client-
server layer of OnProbe using service 'cockpit'.
I checked and there is no other instance of onprobe already running. And
there doesn't appear to be anything else using the port assigned to cockpit
in /etc/services. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
TIA
Mmm, I get the same problem on one of my servers! I've posted about it
here before but I didn't get anywhere :o( Let me know if you solve this.
What platform/version are you running? I'm on hpux 10.20 IDS 7.30.UC5
