User Access Rights in IDS 7.3Hi,

I wonder how can I restrict the access to databases
in IDS 7.3. (e.g., users cannot see DBs created by others
and of course cannot query them)
Right now anybody having an account in our system can
use dbaccess for example and do whatever he or she wants!

In each database that you want to restrict access there is
apparently been permissions granted either to every user
explicitely, explicitely to a role to which all users belong,
or most likey to the pseudo-user 'public'. Just revoke public's
connect priveleges:
REVOKE CONNECT FROM PUBLIC;
For safety you may also want to go through each table and revoke
permissions on each table as well:
REVOKE ALL ON table_name FROM PUBLIC;
You can check DB level permissions with:
select * from sysusers;
