" attribute (reverse) for ans displays "What ?" in reverse. The statement: prompt "What? " for ans attribute (reverse) displays the input field in reverse. You have to CLEAR SCREEN or do some other screen/window control statement for the attribute to have an effect. In plain line mode, it's ignored -- at least on the system I used to verify the behavior (c4gl 7.20.xx, Solaris 7). HTH, Walt.
