It is a feature-rich product that seems to have a lot of classic data warehousing concepts built in, and support from third-party companies who are building tools around it. For example, Business Objects has a report-writer that taps into the Metacube engine. There is also an Excel add-in. The Netscape and IE browser versions of the Metacube end-user interface are identical to the regular Windows client. Overall, it's a very comprehensive critter. One thing for sure, make sure your data base design is done right up front, as Metacube will be depending on it. If there will be one thing to expose your data base design, this will do it. :-) Hope this helps, Tim -- Tim Schaefer tschaefe@mindspring.com tim_schaefer@fpl.com http://www.inxutil.com Informix on Linux?
