systabinfo and syspaghdr no longer documented?
Answered: amber (solid confidence) — David confirmed via the IBM Knowledge Center version history that systabinfo has indeed gone undocumented since 11.50/11.70, directly answering Jacob's suspicion; never explicitly confirmed by Jacob.

Hi Family.
For decades now, in my scripts for managing space, I have been brazenly using
systabnames and systabinfo. However, looking into the latest Administrator's
Manuals (like 12.something) I find no documentation on systabinfo. I'm almost
certain I was able to read up on it years ago.
Also, there is a query I want to design that would get an accurate average of
the number of rows per page as well as the amount of free space remaining in
each page of a table. i.e. joining systabnames with syspaghdr. Although I can
see the columns in dbaccess on sysmaster, I find no documentation on it. Here
I'm not so certain there was publicly available documentation. I could use
this to plan a major reorg of many tables, to be certain of not running out
pages if I choose to reorg a table. Whether I would use ALTER FRAGMENT or
ALTER INDEX TO CLUSTER I'd like to be able to predict accurately how muchspace would be needed by the new incarnation of the table.
I can pretty much guess the purpose of each column by its name but is there
any official documentation on these tables publicly available now?
Thanks for advice here.
What's needed beyond what can be gleaned from
$INFORMIXDIR/etc/sysmaster.sql ?

Check the sysadmin task mon_page_usage - I think it does what youre looking
for.

Documentation is at
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSGU8G_12.1.0/com.ibm.adref.doc/i
ds_adr_0210.htm
and with the drop down you can do back to 11.50/11.70 where systabinfo is not
documented.
Interestingly systabpaghdrs is listed but has no reference!

David.
