"UN DO" SQL from Transaction Log

Does anyone know of a way to convert transaction log information into SQL to "UN DO" a transaction? Every so often there is a transaction affecting a set of records about which there IS CERTAINTY THAT NO OTHER USERS HAVE SUBSEQUENTLY AFFECTED, and which needs to be "rolled back" after it is committed. In such cases the most important data integrity issue is to restore the changes WITHOUT interrupting use of the database -- restoring from backup is RARELY a feasible option. This would be a VERY useful feature since most situations resulting in the need for a "restore from backup" only need a relatively small, yet well-defined set of data. Sometimes the risk of undoing subsequent updates is negligible in comparsion to the costs associated with options such as (1) losing the data, (2) manually recreating the data by other means, or (3) interrupting use of the database to recover from backup. Is there a way to do this? Has anyone created a utility to extract this information? I would like to hear if anyone has any ideas or has run into similar situations. Thanks.
