HDR Error

I keep getting an error when I attempt to turn on HDR on my secondary server with "onmode -d secondary <primaryserver>." The informixserver message log reads: 16:26:23 DR: Reservation of the last logical log for log backupturned off 16:26:23 DR: new type = secondary, primary server name =primaryserver 16:26:23 DR: Trying to connect to primary server = primaryserver 16:26:24 DR: Cannot connect to primary server 16:26:24 DR: Turned off on secondary server 16:26:25 Cannot create SMX pipes My sqlhosts files are configured correctly. I've been able to test with informixservers on the same host with no problems. Has anybody else encountered this condition? What is causing it? Is there a workaround? Using IDS 11.50.FC4 on HP-UX 11.23.

Double check that your sqlhosts files are properly configured. I just saw this at another client where he had the protocol for one of the servers in one of the sqlhosts files as scotcp instead of soctcp. Make sure that you can connect from one server's system to the other using dbaccess, sqlcmd, or other query tool using the serveralias that you will use for the HDR connection. If not, fix that and HDR will work. Art Art S.
