Cleaning NUL bytes in TEXT column
Posted in 2010

All: Something is stuffing NUL bytes into a TEXT column in our database, and this is killing a legacy Kylix application (it segfaults deep in the DBExpress library). Can anybody suggest a quick and simple way to clean NUL bytes out of a TEXT column? Read the data with an ESQL/C program, scrub it and update the row. Art Art S. Everything we do is 4GL, Delphi and .NET. I was thinking of suggesting something similar in .NET to the devs but wanted to probe alternatives first.
