I have three years MS Access background concurrent with two years on Informix ODS. Currently trying to learn Oracle - ick, Informix has much nicer utilities. Short answer is, "No." Longer answer: I've had to unlearn bad SQL habits caused by MS's implementation of SQL. Oracle cowtows to MS, so I'd go out on a limb and say I'd say that if your candidate is bright, the learning curve will be longer than you might want. If the candidate is expected to be immediately productive, ignoring the few weeks s/he will have to spend acclimating to your organization, I'd say absolutely not.
