Re: compilation problem after upgrade to ESQL/C 9.20 UC1
Posted in 2000
Hi! Folks, I have recently upgraded our db server to IDS 7.30UC8 and ESQL/C to 9.20 UC1. Developers are having problems re-compiling their programs. This is the error they are getting. Compiling /u/hoangp/common/csrc/FinancialLibrary.c... cc -DINFORMIX=1 -DYES_INFORMIX=1 -g -I/u/hoangp/common/chdr -DAPP_NAME=' "Common Lib (ifx)"' -I/u/hoangp/common/chdr -I/u/informix/incl/esql -c -DDEBUG_O PTION=DEBUG_ON -DCREDIT_CHECKING=1 /u/hoangp/common/csrc/FinancialLibrary.c -o / u/hoangp/common/debug/FinancialLibrary.o : [warning]: CFE1979 could not set locale "" to allow processing of multibyte characters /u/hoangp/common/csrc/FinancialLibrary.ec 2422: [error]: CFE1020 identifier " _SQCURSOR" is undefined static _SQCURSOR _SQ0 = {0}; ^ /u/hoangp/common/csrc/FinancialLibrary.ec 2663: [error]: CFE1020 identifier " _SQSTMT" is undefined static _SQSTMT _SQ0 = {0}; ^ make: *** Error code 1 make: Fatal error. I don't know much about ESQL/C. Their further comments are below - >> It appears that the header file incl/esql/sqlhdr.h has been changed during >> the upgrade. It used to contain the following definitions: >> >> typedef struct >> { >> short _SQSstmttype; /* SQ_SELECT, SQ_INSERT, etc. */ >> short _SQSsqlid; /* SQL's id for this cursor */ >> } _SQSTMT; >> >> extern int _iqstmnt(_SQSTMT *scb, char **cmdtxt, int icnt, struct >> sqlvar_struct *ibind, struct value *ivalues); >> >> In the new upgrade these are missing. If we compile, we get errors saying >> that it is unable to those definitions and fails. This used to work >> properly. Thanks, Jenny.
