Haven't tried it with anything but Microsoft products where it works flawlessly. I have however not used it with blob data. :So we junked it and stuck with I-Connect. Fast, but unfortunately not as :secure as you might want. If you need speed though, this is the best (at :least for Delphi). For Delphi I have heard from others you get excelent speed from the Informix product. "Not as secure as you might want" is however an understatement. If you need to install it for anything but a few users the installation procedure is also far to hard. Of course you can do it, but it isn't up to modern standards. Zero administration is hard with this kind of software. :It will be a long time before I try this driver again. Was it the server based version (not the Lite version that uses I-Net/I-Connect? They are countinously developing their drivers so you might want to try it again if you need the security. If security is not a significant consern it seems that I-Connect is better for Delphi. If you need ODBC (for other products) I would check it out again. :Mark :MarkDenham@aol.com (home) :Denham.M@amstr.com (work) Nils.Myklebust@idg.no NM Data AS, P.O.Box 9090 Gronland, N-0133 Oslo, Norway My opinions are those of my company The Informix FAQ is at http://www.iiug.org
