You need to up the per process memory parameter in the kernel. The
default is usually about 1 Gb on DEC. I think ulimit -v will change it
temporarily. Use ulimit -a to view vmemory.

But, as you can see, virt.seg.size is about 250 M. If I put BUFFERS=250000
(130000 more), virt.seg.size will be about 512 M. So why I have
message
