Should you not have an INTO clause, like so:
select emp_desig_cd INTO $v_emp_desig_cd
from pmm_designation
where emp_desig_cd in (select post_cd from pmm_stn_strength)

Subject: Cursor Problem.
Hi
I have a query which works fine as a select statement.
But when used in cursor gives an error.
as in
select emp_desig_cd from pmm_designation
where emp_desig_cd in (select post_cd from pmm_stn_strength)The above select when declared as a cursor does not work.
Informix version 7.21
Also how to get Sql version
Thanks in advance
